To register to
vote in Colorado, you must:
1) Be a U.S. citizen
2) Be 18 years of age or older
3) Register no later than 29 days before the
election and be 18 years
old on or before the date of the election in which you want to vote
4) Reside in Colorado and at your present address
at least 30 days before the election
OPTIONS FOR REGISTRATION
You can register through a state approved
Voter Registration
Drive (VRD) like
Vote! Longmont. If you
see us at some public function, we can take your registration and
deliver it to the appropriate County Clerk. A VRD is basically a
middle-man between you and the county, saving you a step in the process.
If you aren't comfortable giving your information (
CO Drivers
License # or last four digits of
SS#) to a
third party (like a VRD) we can provide you with a registration form and
you can mail it in or drop it off to the appropriate office yourself.
Mail-in address
Boulder County Clerk & Recorder's Office
1750 33rd Street, Suite 200, Boulder, CO 80301
Walk in / Drop Off Boulder
County Clerk & Recorder's
Longmont Branch Office
529 Coffman Street,
Longmont
There is also a
Colorado online fill-in PDF that you
can print out and mail or save as a PDF and email to the County Clerk.
The PDF can be found
HERE
Lastly there is the
National Voter Registration Form
which can be
found
HERE
Any of the above
options can also be used to change your information. Examples
would be if you want to change your
party affiliation,
or if you want to be
mail-in ballot only or to
stop being mail-in ballot only.
However you register,
REGISTER, if not with us, than
the method of your choice. If this site was helpful to you, or if
it in some way encouraged you to
register or
vote -
let us know as we'd like to keep track
of these statistics. We aren't paid by the registration (or paid
at all!), we'd just like to know what works, what doesn't, and ways to
improve techniques. The only true measurement of success will be
more
Longmont citizens
registered and
voting.
